Ana-Maria is a photographer specialising in social documentary and travel photography, currently based in the UK. Originally from Bulgaria and therefore having bases at two opposite parts of the continent, she has been able to travel between the two and explore a significant part of Europe, and it was precisely travelling that sparked her love for photography at a young age. Witnessing the beautiful diversity of cultures and people and wanting to document it is what persuaded her to go down the path of photojournalism and long-term projects. She tends to incorporate both landscape and portraiture in her projects, and focuses on investigating the ways people affect and interact the world around them. Ana-Maria is now focusing on launching her career in documentary photography and is open to assignments and commissions.
